Founder + Yoga Teacher + Fitness Instructor

My journey began decades ago as a competitive gymnast and athlete. After completing university studies in both Psychology and Physical Education, I spent years managing a chain of fitness clubs. During that time I gained experience as a personal trainer and led many different classes as a group fitness instructor.

I was initially drawn to the physical practice of yoga as a means to complement my workout routine and training as a triathlete, but my practice soon evolved to be as much about strength of mind as it is body. Yoga became a way of life, leading to a more balanced sense of self both on and off the mat.

As my devotion to yoga grew, so too did my enthusiasm to share it with others. In 2017, I completed my RYT-200 Yoga Teacher Certification with focus on yoga philosophy and history, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative styles of yoga, as well as numerous meditation and pranayama techniques.

Sweat + Flow was born from a life-long dedication and passion for fitness and health, and my desire to share it with others, building connection and community with like-minded individuals.

As a yoga teacher, I began leading classes and workshops at some of the most respected yoga studios in Toronto, as well as one of the city's premier health clubs. I have been fortunate enough to develop more specialized programs for athletes from several organizations, including the Toronto Triathlon Club and Squash Ontario. And more recent, I've had the pleasure of creating and building a mutually supportive online yoga community through a challenging time in many of our lives. The connections forged in all these spaces and with myriad groups of people have become the heart of why I teach.

Always a student, I continually seek out opportunities to learn from those around me. I hold a Cycling Instructor Certification, TRX Instructor Qualification, and working toward a personal trainer designation. On the mat, I enjoy being guided through many styles of yoga and fitness classes embracing continuous personal growth to share with my students.

Life as an athlete, and my enduring passion for fitness and health, both inform and benefit my work as a yoga teacher and fitness instructor. Grounded in the essence of yoga, I lead fun and energetic classes that are physically challenging and creatively sequenced with a focus on functional and mindful movement. I combine my athletic style and comprehensive physical awareness with calm, supportive instruction, always encouraging safe exploration of movement.

Whatever your experience, whatever your goals, my aim is to support and inspire you to live your best life

Client Feedback

Kimberley's yoga classes have been a highlight during the pandemic and have kept me sane and healthy. I love the variety of classes, each class is always different and has a nice combination of relaxing poses, challenging poses and are also geared towards athletes (lots of core and glute stretches and strengthening). Her guidance is clear and consistent, and most importantly, her classes are fun! ~ Paula P

I have been taking Kimberley's yoga classes for almost two years, and continued through COVID-19 isolation virtually. She takes time to plan her classes meticulously, she offers alternatives for poses and balances to accommodate different abilities in her class, she is always so positive and enthusiastic her infectious smile makes the hardest class a joy. I am an 81 year old gym rat, I would recommend her so very highly if you want to work hard, have fun, and have a caring, professional and dedicated teacher. ~ Stef T

I started joining Kimberley's classes last year at a studio in the Beaches and she was one of the best yoga instructors there. We can all learn the techniques of yoga over time by regular practice, however the soul of yoga lies in happiness and peace. Kimberley is always pleasant and makes you feel welcome in her classes and I always felt a very positive and peaceful energy around her which is very important to me. Our yoga studio was closed due to COVID-19 but Kimberley made sure everyone could still practice at home. I am so grateful to know her because of the immense generosity she has shown during this pandemic. I highly recommend Kimberley because she is just an amazing soul. Love and peace. ~ Rohit T

Kimberley is a fun, creative and supportive teacher. Her classes are accessible, yet always opportunities to challenge yourself and try new things. I can definitely feel myself getting stronger and more confident in my yoga practice having worked with Kimberley! ~ Jen A
